Feds warn of safety risks from Mountain Valley pipeline

“On Monday, the head of the advocacy group Pipeline Safety Trust, said PHMSA has done a good job ordering “prescriptive mitigation measures” to the threats of corrosion and land movement.

PHMSA’s proposed order “certainly doesn’t solve all the potential safety issues from this pipeline, but it does take some concrete, prescriptive steps to make it safer,” said Bill Caram, the group’s executive director, in an email.”
