Emergency Responder Training Opportunities

The Pipeline Emergencies Program

Pipeline Emergencies offers a comprehensive, integrated emergency response training program designed to teach emergency responders and pipeline industry personnel to safely respond and effectively manage pipeline incidents. Pipeline Emergencies will produce significant safety results in terms of industry, public safety and improved emergency response tactics. Program includes a textbook, video and facilitator’s guide with interactive pipeline training scenarios.

Developed by a team of respected emergency response and industry experts with the partnership between National Association of State Fire Marshals (NASFM) and the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration.

The Danielle Dawn Smalley Foundation

The major initiative of The Foundation is to provide pipeline safety training and technical assistance to first responders in rural areas throughout the United States. These intensive workshops, combined with on-site technical assistance, will prepare first responders to deal with the risks associated with high-pressure pipelines, and in case of an emergency, respond in appropriate ways to mitigate this danger. This training and technical assistance is available to first responder units at no charge.
