Welcome to Our State of Kentucky Pipeline Information Website

The Trust hopes you find the pipeline information you are looking for here. By becoming more informed and involved on pipeline issues we can all help to make pipelines safer.

The release of more 262,542 gallons of crude oil into the waters of the Kentucky and Ohio rivers in January 2005 as well as the November 2004 explosion of a natural gas pipeline in Floyd County, in which nine persons were injured and five homes were destroyed, prompted Governor Ernie Fletcher to form the State of Kentucky Committee on Pipeline Safety. As the Governor stated this is a, "proactive stance to improve pipeline safety and security in Kentucky."

The Pipeline Safety Trust hopes this website, devoted to pipeline safety in Kentucky, will assist in this effort.
